Year-end financial statements

Financial statements that hold up — for the CRA, your bank, your shareholders, or whoever else needs to see them.

Who this is for

Corporations that need a proper set of year-end financial statements — whether that's simply to file the corporate tax return, or because a lender, bonding company, grant program, or shareholder needs to see them.

How it works

The books are reconciled first (see bookkeeping if that part isn't already handled), then the year-end statement package is prepared: balance sheet, income statement, and notes. Where the audience matters — a bank, a bonding company, a grant application — the statements are formatted to what that reader actually needs to see.

From there, everything flows directly into the corporate tax return, so there's no gap between what gets filed and what the numbers actually say.

FAQ

Year-end questions

Yes — if the books are already reconciled, turnaround is fast. If they need cleanup first, we'll scope that as part of the same engagement.

The CRA requires a set of financial statements to support a T2 return, so yes — most businesses need this either way. Many clients have both done together.
